Since our practice was formed in 1998, we have always had a particular fondness for our patients and friends in the Special Needs Community. In addition to developing programs and strategies to support our patients with special considerations, we have also embraced the inclusive idea of sharing our work environment with individuals with disabilities. Dr. Kristine Grazioso began her support and relationship with The Friendship Home back in 2000. Located in Norwell, MA, The Friendship Home's mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by providing quality respite care and support services in a safe and caring environment. As The Friendship Home launched it's Bridges to Work, initiative, our practice immediately embraced the idea. Bridges to Work is a Vocational Program that helps people with developmental disabilities to explore their career plans, set goals, and assess and build the skills to attain and retain a job. As part of the celebration of it's 5 year anniversary, we took some time to recognize our two Friendship Home rock star employees with a staff photo shoot! Check out some pictures we took with Ms. Kayla Pigeon and Ms. Katie Sullivan! South Shore Children's Dentistry is incredibly luck to have them on our team! They provide essential administrative support to our practice and we couldn't be more proud to have them with us! Thanks Kayla and Katie for all you do for us!
We are happy to share that our 5th Annual Halloween Candy Giveback Event is in the planning stages!!! Working with Operation Gratitude, we will be collecting your 'excess' Halloween candy on Monday, November 7. Come drop off that extra candy - we will work with Operation Gratitude to ship it to our overseas troops along with cards of thanks and appreciation for their service. Once again, a big thank you to Judy Gray of Bohren's United Trucking! For the fifth year in a row, Judy and Bohren will generously be donating her resources to help ship all of the candy from Cohasset to Operation Gratitude. It takes a village!!! Thank you!!!
South Shore Children's Dentistry is proud to share with you that we will be partnering again this year with #GivingTuesday to help support a community value of giving. #GivingTuesday is a first of its kind effort to harness the collective power of three partners - charities, families, and businesses. Together, this unique group has the power to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, our practice is asking our families to consider donating to a charity of their choice. If you are looking for suggestions, our practice is suggesting three options: Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton, MA; The Friendship Home in Norwell, MA; The Island Autism Group, LLC in Martha's Vineyard. If you wish to learn more about #GivingTuesday, visit their website at www.givingtuesday.org.
At South Shore Children's Dentistry, we believe that our patients deserve the best care possible - and state-of-the-art technology is a critical part of that care. We are proud that our office is a chartless environment - we hve leveraged technology to ensure that important information about your child's health and needs are readily accessible. Our office has embraced digital x-rays and the best materials available to ensure optimum care for your child. We have recently invested in new state-of-the-art sterilization equipment in addition to new chairs and dental equipment. From our iPads to our pediatric-sized x-ray sensors, our goal is to provide your child with the best care possible.
We have recently made another technology investment to ensure that we are offering state-of-the-art dental care for your child. Recently, we rolled out new ELECTRIC HANDPIECES in our office for your child's care. Electric handpieces are now the paradigm in handpiece instrumentation. An increasing number of U.S. dentists are considering this shift in technology, with good reason! Electric handpieces are smoother and quieter with better consistency in performance. This leading edge technology allows our dentists to practice with an even higher degree of accuracy in a shorter period of time.
The good news for our patients is that they can now have restorative treatment done in a quieter setting in less time - and we can't think of a single patient who wouldn't want that!
The next time you are in our office, please feel free to talk to any of our clinical staff about this recent investment! Our goal is to simply provide the best care possible for your child and we believe this is another important step in that journey!
