Our Partnership with The Friendship Home
Since our practice was formed in 1998, we have always had a particular fondness for our patients and friends in the Special Needs Community. In addition to developing programs and strategies to support our patients with special considerations, we have also embraced the inclusive idea of sharing our work environment with individuals with disabilities. Dr. Kristine Grazioso began her support and relationship with The Friendship Home back in 2000. Located in Norwell, MA, The Friendship Home's mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by providing quality respite care and support services in a safe and caring environment. As The Friendship Home launched it's Bridges to Work initiative, our practice immediately embraced the idea. Bridges to Work is a Vocational Program that helps people with developmental disabilities to explore their career plans, set goals, and assess and build the skills to attain and retain a job. As part of the celebration of it's 5 year anniversary, we took some time to recognize our two Friendship Home rock star employees with a staff photo shoot! Check out some pictures we took with Ms. Kayla Pigeon and Ms. Katie Sullivan! South Shore Children's Dentistry is incredibly lucky to have them on our team! They provide essential administrative support to our practice and we couldn't be more proud to have them with us! Thanks Kayla and Katie for all you do for us!
Our Halloween Candy Give Back is...back!!!!
We are happy to share that our 6th Annual Halloween Candy Giveback Event is in the planning stages!!! Working with Operation Shoebox, we will again be collecting your 'excess' Halloween candy for shipment to our overseas troops. This year we are doing things a little differently! Please feel free to drop by our office in Suite LL2 (On the LOWER LEVEL) on Wednesday, November 1 (8:00 - 5:00), Thursday, November 2 (8:00 - 5:00) or Friday, November 3 (8:00 - 12:00). This year we thought the expanded hours would help families swing by when it was most convenient for them! In exchange for your extra candy, we'll offer you a goody bag! We will work with Operation Shoebox to ship all of the donated candy to our overseas troops along with cards of thanks and appreciation for their service. Once again, a big thank you to Judy Gray of Bohren's United Trucking! For the sixth year in a row, Judy and Bohren will generously be donating her resources to help ship all the candy from Cohasset to Operation Shoebox. It takes a village!!! Thank you!!!
South Shore Children's Dentistry is proud to share with you that we will again be partnering with #GivingTuesday to help support a community value of giving. We are excited to announce that this year we will be supporting a local organization called “Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore”. Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore is dedicated to helping homeless families by providing shelter, food, clothing, furniture, education and advocacy. Focused specifically on the South Shore, this organization is providing shelter for 23 families using housing in Weymouth, Hingham and Norwell. These families are our neighbors and have fallen on hard times - they just need a little support from us during this holiday season. Please consider helping us with this important project! Above you will find a listing of items that these families are in need of - please consider dropping off any new or gently used items (or a cash/gift card donation) at our office! Alternatively, if you'd like to offer an unwrapped holiday gift for the children supported by the Friends of the Homeless, please do that as well. We will be delivering all of our donations to the shelter on Friday, December 22! Many thanks in advance for anything you might be able to do - know that your kindness will make a monumental difference to these families this holiday season!

Investing in you're child's dental care!
At South Shore Children's Dentistry, we believe that our patients deserve the best care possible - and state-of-the-art technology is a critical part of that care. We are proud that our office is a chartless environment - we hve leveraged technology to ensure that important information about your child's health and needs are readily accessible. Our office has embraced digital x-rays and the best materials available to ensure optimum care for your child. We have recently invested in new state-of-the-art sterilization equipment in addition to new chairs and dental equipment. From our iPads to our pediatric-sized x-ray sensors, our goal is to provide your child with the best care possible.
We have recently made another technology investment to ensure that we are offering state-of-the-art dental care for your child. Recently, we rolled out new ELECTRIC HANDPIECES in our office for your child's care. Electric handpieces are now the paradigm in handpiece instrumentation. An increasing number of U.S. dentists are considering this shift in technology, with good reason! Electric handpieces are smoother and quieter with better consistency in performance. This leading edge technology allows our dentists to practice with an even higher degree of accuracy in a shorter period of time.
The good news for our patients is that they can now have restorative treatment done in a quieter setting in less time - and we can't think of a single patient who wouldn't want that!
The next time you are in our office, please feel free to talk to any of our clinical staff about this recent investment! Our goal is to simply provide the best care possible for your child and we believe this is another important step in that journey!
