Our Partnership with The Friendship Home

Since our practice was formed in 1998, we have always had a particular fondness for our patients and friends in the Special Needs Community. In addition to developing programs and strategies to support our patients with special considerations, we have also embraced the inclusive idea of sharing our work environment with individuals with disabilities. Dr. Kristine Grazioso began her support and relationship with The Friendship Home back in 2000. Located in Norwell, MA, The Friendship Home's mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by providing quality respite care and support services in a safe and caring environment. As The Friendship Home launched it's Bridges to Work initiative, our practice immediately embraced the idea. Bridges to Work is a Vocational Program that helps people with developmental disabilities to explore their career plans, set goals, and assess and build the skills to attain and retain a job. As part of the celebration of it's 5 year anniversary, we took some time to recognize our two Friendship Home rock star employees with a staff photo shoot! Check out some pictures we took with Ms. Kayla Pigeon and Ms. Katie Sullivan! South Shore Children's Dentistry is incredibly lucky to have them on our team! They provide essential administrative support to our practice and we couldn't be more proud to have them with us! Thanks Kayla and Katie for all you do for us!

Thank you to all of our families who have supported our Halloween Candy Give Back Initiative.

We are so grateful to all of our families who have participated in our past Halloween Candy Give Back Program!  We started this initiative in 2012 and it has been our absolute pleasure to help both our patients and our overseas troops!!   Over the past 6 years, we have been able to collect more than 3,000 pounds of candy and sent handwritten notes which I am certain to have warmed the hears of our overseas troops.  Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this a wonderful initiative!!!

As we look towards the future, we've realized that it's time for us to retire from this initiative and pass the baton to others in our community :)  We encourage families to continue to donate their treats!  We would suggest that you consider sharing your extra candy with either your local fire department, police department, senior center, or even food pantry.  If we identify other collection points throughout the South Shore, we will update our websiteso please check back often!

Again, aheartfelt thank you to everyone who has participated!!

Investing in you're child's dental care!

At South Shore Children's Dentistry, we believe that our patients deserve the best care possible - and state-of-the-art technology is a critical part of that care.  We are proud that our office is a chartless environment - we hve leveraged technology to ensure that important information about your child's health and needs are readily accessible.  Our office has embraced digital x-rays and the best materials available to ensure optimum care for your child.  We have recently invested in new state-of-the-art sterilization equipment in addition to new chairs and dental equipment.  From our iPads to our pediatric-sized x-ray sensors, our goal is to provide your child with the best care possible.

We have recently made another technology investment to ensure that we are offering state-of-the-art dental care for your child.  Recently, we rolled out new ELECTRIC HANDPIECES in our office for your child's care.  Electric handpieces are now the paradigm in handpiece instrumentation.  An increasing number of U.S. dentists are considering this shift in technology, with good reason!  Electric handpieces are smoother and quieter with better consistency in performance.  This leading edge technology allows our dentists to practice with an even higher degree of accuracy in a shorter period of time.

The good news for our patients is that they can now have restorative treatment done in a quieter setting in less time - and we can't think of a single patient who wouldn't want that!

The next time you are in our office, please feel free to talk to any of our clinical staff about this recent investment!  Our goal is to simply provide the best care possible for your child and we believe this is another important step in that journey!
